Event Details

What is Denver doing to develop a local food system that is sustainable and equitable?  How does Denver compare to other cities?  And most importantly, how can Denver residents get involved in establishing this local, sustainable, and equitable food system?

The first annual People's Food Justice Summit will look at Denver's food system from the lens of the people, particularly residents of underserved communities. Through this summit, we will identify ways to cultivate, collaborate and celebrate a local food system that is designed by the people, for the people.

Two panel discussions, and up to ten break-out speakers will provide examples of models being implemented in Denver, identify gaps in public policy and planning, and ways for people to get involved in creating a healthy, equitable, and sustainable food system.
